What exactly are you after when looking for flash games?
Most people looking for “quick fix” like zombie games or stupid arcades or
racing games. Not many people search the Strategy and RPG games on flash
platform and it is understandable, RPG genre requires dedication and lots and
lots of time, considering flash limitations, it is not the best platform for
games of this caliber. But it is also true
that many people underestimate flash, it has changed, and evolved;
Potential of the flash platform has increased 10 times compared to what most of
you remember it to be. There are lots of decent games of complicated genre on
Flash Platform nowadays, RPG, Strategy, Tower Defense and even RL simulators.
It is only natural that RPG genre is the most complicated among others, taking
in account the game mechanics. I’m not talking about visual side or music and
sounds, it’s the game mechanics itself. Compared to pointless shooters in which
what all you do is point the cursor and shoot, RPG has a lot to process, your
stats from gear, personal attributes, damage points, health points, enormous
amount of skills. Yes, RPG consumes lot of resources. Naturally, text and card
RPG is not included.
I decided to create this blog and show you just how much
this platform has evolved, you can play some of the best games of all genre and
decide see it yourself that you don’t have to pay $20-$30 for game DVD, or buy
expensive consoles / Desktop PC / Laptops, Plash platform is an excellent
substitute for expensive entertainment and as you probably already know, 99% of
flash games are absolutely free.
Up until 2012, I was skeptical about flash games myself, but
then I meet games like Sugar Sugar, One and One Story, Synapsis, Dusk, All that
Matters and some more… All the games I just stated are simply the state of art,
but that’s not the point, I realized this platform has a lot to offer and
started looking for RPG Flash Games; I don’t want to exaggerate but I was
shocked! And at this point, I see no reason to pay money for game DVDs when I
can play games like Monsters Den Chronicles, or Sonny, Rebuild. The only flaw
these games have is inability to save the game progress, but it isn’t that bad
really; You can actually save the game progress but that lasts as long as you
keep your browser cookies alive, or if you go through the annoying process of
registering at Mochimedia Network.
Aside RPG Games, there are other genres that can surprise
you like Strategy games or Skill Games, and some Puzzles too. When I say
strategy games, I mean Tower Defense because flash isn’t really good for
classic RTS. But Tower Defense and Turn Based Strategy games… why not! In fact,
the best Tower Defense game in the world is made for flash platform, I’m
talking about Kingdom Rush. I remember, not so long ago people buying Warcraft
III accounts just to play Tower Defense maps and not the Warcraft game itself,
well it isn’t needed anymore. Today, you can even create your own TD games at
Packed.com website: label it and tag it, brand it etc. However, if it’s too
complicated for you (and it really is for most people) there are hundreds of
free online strategy tower games on the web and about 20-30 of them are
priceless; like Kingdom Rush, Cursed Treasure, Medieval Castle Defense, Colony
Defenders TD and more.
Finally, one of the most intriguing genres – Skill Games;
there is nothing more fun than challenging you friends in quality skill games
like Chopper Drop, Epic Rail, Multitask and more. Games I listed on this page
